Where it started

First a guitar.
Then FL Studio.

Music started when I picked up a guitar at eight years old. Years later I found FL Studio and started teaching myself production, recording and mixing.

There was no formal music or design education behind it. Most of what I know came from making records, watching tutorials, experimenting and spending far too much time on details until something finally sounded or looked right.

That process eventually became my career. Today I move between production, mixing, visual work and creative direction, but the approach is still the same: learn by doing, stay independent and build something with its own identity.

From the South

Heard beyond it.

I grew up in Stadbroek, Sittard. I know what it's like to grow up without having much and to see the harder side of the city around you. We didn't come from much, but Sittard always felt like home. It still does.

Limburg has always been a big part of who I am and how I work. A lot of the music I've made over the years was built here, together with artists from Limburg. People I originally met through music eventually became some of my closest friends. We didn't just do a session together and move on. We made tapes, albums and projects, spent years in studios together and helped each other grow.

The interview described a path built from Sittard rather than around it: a love for sampling, creating, and the kind of Limburg work ethic that does not wait for permission from the Randstad. My advice to upcoming producers from outside the usual industry centres was simple: ignore the stigma, the boxes and other people's opinions, and keep building.

More than teaching
how to make beats.

Since 2025 I have been active with JONG046 in Sittard-Geleen, using music, studio work and creative projects to connect with young people, develop talent and give their ideas somewhere real to grow.

What the work means
The studio is often only the starting point. My youth work ranges from open studio moments and one-to-one coaching to workshops and longer creative trajectories. A beat or recording session can make the first connection easier; from there the real work is building trust, recognising potential and helping someone discover what they can do.

Studio &
talent development

Through open studio sessions, workshops and individual guidance I help young people turn ideas into something tangible. That can mean learning GarageBand or production for the first time, recording vocals, writing, building a performance or understanding how a song comes together. For young makers who want to continue, I can connect that first experiment to the experience I already have in music.

Coaching &
connection

Not every young person walks into a youth centre asking for coaching. Sometimes music is simply the reason to come in. Working side by side on a beat or recording creates room to talk, build confidence and find direction without making the conversation feel forced. The goal is not to turn everybody into an artist. It is to make talent visible and give young people ownership over something they built themselves.

Projects, workshops

The work extends beyond the studio into workshops, youth programmes, performances and cultural projects. I am actively involved in developing creative sessions and longer trajectories with young people in Sittard-Geleen, using music not as the end goal every time, but as a practical tool for expression, confidence and connection.

Sometimes a beat is just the reason to walk through the door.
The bigger picture

At JONG046 I am not only there to explain software or make beats. I help shape workshops and creative trajectories, work directly with young people and use my own network and professional experience to make the next step feel closer and more realistic.
